Dax Shepard Helps Kristen Bell with Her Hair at Their Red Carpet Event Following Anniversary Post Drama
Dax Shepard ensured his wife, Kristen Bell, looked radiant as they walked the red carpet together. The couple was spotted at the Vanity Fair and Amazon MGM awards celebration in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 10, where they donned coordinating black suits and shared smiles.
As Bell posed solo for the cameras, Shepard was quick to help, smoothing any flyaways and adjusting her blonde hair to ensure she looked her best. In what appeared to be a moment of appreciation, Bell acknowledged her husband’s efforts with a nod of gratitude.
The event occurred just a day before the 2026 Golden Globes, where both actors received nominations. Bell is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Series — Musical or Comedy for her role in Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This,” while Shepard’s podcast “Armchair Expert” earned recognition in the newly established Best Podcast category.
Married since 2013, the couple celebrated their 12th anniversary in October 2025. Bell shared heartfelt sentiments on social media during their anniversary, stating, “Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.’” This message, while meant in jest, sparked varied reactions online, particularly as it coincided with Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
In response to the social media discussion, a representative from the National Network to End Domestic Violence stated, “There’s nothing funny about domestic violence ‘jokes’ that trivialize the very real fear, trauma and pain that millions of victims and survivors face each day… we all have a responsibility to support victims and survivors.”
Though Bell and Shepard did not address the controversy further, they have been open about the strengths of their long-term relationship. Bell once described their dynamic as “opposites attract,” emphasizing the patience required to navigate their differing viewpoints constructively.
The couple shares two daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10. Shepard discussed his parenting approach on a November 2025 episode of his podcast, emphasizing the importance of teaching their daughters to advocate for themselves, even if that means speaking back or being “disrespectful.”
