Emmy-Nominated Actress D’Arcy Carden to Receive Excellence in Acting Award at SeriesFest
D’Arcy Carden, an Emmy Award-nominated actress, is set to receive the “Excellence in Acting Award” at the 12th installment of SeriesFest, scheduled for May 6 to 10. The accolade will be presented during a celebration on May 8.
Carden, who stars in Peacock’s upcoming series The Five-Star Weekend, premiering July 16, is recognized for her impactful contributions to television.
“D’Arcy Carden exemplifies the spirit of storytelling that SeriesFest is built to champion, bringing authenticity, heart, and depth to every role she takes on,” said Randi Kleiner and Kaily Smith, co-founders of the event. Their joint statement continued, “From her performances in The Good Place, Broad City, Barry, and A League of Their Own to her support of independent television, including her role in Sunny Nights, which premiered last year at SeriesFest: Season 11, D’Arcy continues to elevate diverse voices and inspire the next generation of creators. We are thrilled to honor her with this year’s Excellence in Acting Award.”
Previous honorees for this year’s festival include John J. Sie, founder and former chairman of Starz Entertainment, receiving the Inaugural Visionary Award; actress Amy Seimetz for the Spotlight Performance Award; director Gia-Rayne B. Harris from Bridgerton, honored with the Ambassador Award; and the production company Littleton Road Productions, recognized for their Impact in Television Award for Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy.
SeriesFest aims to celebrate and discover innovative projects within the television industry. This year’s festival will feature a diverse range of programs, including scripted, unscripted, and late-night pilot competitions, along with exclusive screenings, premieres, panels, and workshops.
