Dancing With The Stars Launches Exciting First Fan Convention Featuring Celebrity Contestants and Pros
Dancing With The Stars Launches First Fan Convention
Fans of Dancing With The Stars will have a unique opportunity to connect with professionals and former contestants at the show’s inaugural fan convention this summer. The event, known as DWTS Con, will take place from July 31 to August 2 at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California. The announcement was made earlier today on Good Morning America.
The three-day event promises an immersive experience, featuring live dance performances, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, interactive photo opportunities, exhibits, and exclusive merchandise. This celebration coincides with the show’s recent 20-year milestone on the air.
A lineup of 17 professional dancers and 14 celebrity contestants will participate in the convention. Notable pro dancers include Brandon Armstrong, Lindsay Arnold, Rylee Arnold, Alan Bersten, Sharna Burgess, and Val Chmerkovskiy, among others. Former contestants expected to attend include Hannah Brown, Danielle Fishel, Xochitl Gomez, and Rumer Willis.
The convention will also welcome judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, with more guests to be announced in the coming weeks.
“It’s really cool because it’s never been done before,” remarked pro dancer Witney Carson during her appearance on GMA. “You’re going to have access to pros and celebrities, which is really fun, and we’re just really excited to see you guys there.”
The weekend’s events will kick off on Friday with a welcome gathering featuring appearances from the pros and a game show-style experience. Saturday will host behind-the-scenes panels with conversations and Q&As, culminating in a live dance performance directed by Mandy Moore. The convention will conclude on Sunday with additional panels, a matinee performance, a mock competition, and a farewell segment.
