Dakota Johnson, Saoirse Ronan, Jessie Buckley, and Josh O’Connor Join Forces in Alice Rohrwacher’s New Film ‘Three Incestuous Sisters’
Details of Upcoming Film Project Remain Under Wraps
The plot details of an anticipated film remain closely guarded, heightening interest among fans and industry insiders alike.
Indian Paintbrush will finance and produce the project, with Johnson and Ro Donnelly of TeaTime Pictures collaborating alongside Steven Rales of Indian Paintbrush. Notably, director Alice Rohrwacher will also take on a production role. Principal photography is scheduled to commence in April.
The film boasts an impressive cast. Johnson recently starred in the romantic drama Materialists alongside Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. She also appeared in Daddio with Sean Penn.
Saoirse Ronan has garnered strong reviews for her performance in The Outrun and is currently filming a Sam Mendes project about The Beatles, in which she portrays Linda McCartney. Ronan was also featured in Bad Apples.
Daisy Buckley recently earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her role in the Oscar-nominated film Hamnet, produced by Focus Features and Amblin. She won a Golden Globe for the same role and will next appear in The Bride, alongside Christian Bale, which is set to be released next week.
Meanwhile, Jacob O’Connor was last seen in the recent entry of the Knives Out series, Wake Up Dead Man. His next role will be opposite Emily Blunt in Steven Spielberg’s UFO-themed film Disclosure Day.
Rohrwacher’s latest film, La Chimera (2023), which features O’Connor and Isabella Rossellini, premiered at Cannes and was recognized by the National Board of Review as one of the top five international films of 2023. She will also receive the 2026 European Film Academy Achievement in World Cinema Award.
