Curtis Brown’s CFO Steps Down After Ten Years with the Company
EXCLUSIVE: Simon Flamank, the Chief Financial Officer at Curtis Brown, is departing after a decade with the agency.
The esteemed 125-year-old agency, known for representing high-profile clients such as Ncuti Gatwa, Robert Pattinson, and Margaret Atwood, confirmed Flamank’s exit following his termination as director on Companies House late last month.
Flamank has been a pivotal presence in TV and film finance at Curtis Brown, acquired by UTA in 2022 for approximately £43M ($58.6M). He joined the agency in 2016 and is departing shortly to focus on personal passions, with no new position currently lined up. The agency will announce succession plans in due time.
Throughout his tenure, Flamank was instrumental in navigating Curtis Brown during the Covid-19 pandemic. Recent financial reports from UTA UK indicate that the agency generated a turnover of £77M for the full year 2024, although more up-to-date figures have yet to be released.

In addition to his role at Curtis Brown, Flamank has held C-suite positions at several media companies, including Bob & Co, which invested in numerous UK ventures. He has also provided consulting services for various businesses.
As one of the senior figures at Curtis Brown, Flamank collaborated closely with Chair and CEO Jonny Geller, President Jonathan Lloyd, directors Nick Marston and Sarah Spear, and COO Raneet Ahuja.
