Cruz Beckham Joins Victoria Beckham and Spice Girls for Heartfelt Rendition
Cruz Beckham shared a heartfelt video on February 5, featuring himself alongside his mother, Victoria Beckham, and her former Spice Girls bandmates performing the 1998 hit "Viva Forever." The post hints at the possibility of the girls joining Cruz as "openers" for his upcoming music tour, which includes stops in several European cities.
The accompanying Instagram clip showcases Cruz passionately singing the classic tune while Victoria and Spice Girls members Melanie "Mel C" Chisholm, Geri Halliwell-Horner, and Emma Bunton joined in; however, Melanie “Mel B” Brown was notably absent from the performance. Cruz’s playful caption—“I think I found my openers… you think they have potential?”—suggested excitement about the tour, which also includes performances in Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin.
Towards the end of the video, Cruz’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, made an appearance, contributing to the joyful atmosphere as the group celebrated with cheers and thumbs-up gestures.
This sing-along comes amid ongoing tensions within the Beckham family, highlighted by Victoria and David Beckham’s strained relationship with their eldest son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham. Recently, Brooklyn made headlines for speaking out about his family dynamics, sharing his struggles regarding anxiety and asserting that he felt controlled by his parents for much of his life.
Brooklyn’s remarks on social media included criticisms of his family’s treatment of his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. He expressed dissatisfaction with the narrative surrounding their relationship, sharing, “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life.”
Despite the familial discord, sources close to the Beckham family commented on their hope for reconciliation. They noted that both David and Victoria continue to love their son and wish to mend the situation, emphasizing that they are there for him amid the distance.
As the Beckham family navigates these challenges, Cruz’s performance serves as a reminder of the enduring bond shared through music, offering a glimmer of unity amidst the complexities of family life.
