Could More ‘Bridgerton’ Characters Be Featured in New Spin-offs? EP Tom Verica Shares Exciting Details
At the premiere of Bridgerton Season 4 in Paris, director and executive producer Tom Verica confirmed that more spinoffs of the popular Netflix period drama are in the works. When asked directly, his succinct response was, “Yes.”
Verica, who directed the season’s opening episode titled “The Waltz,” did not specify which characters might be featured in upcoming spinoffs. However, he hinted that they could involve familiar figures from the Bridgerton universe.
Reflecting on his experience with Queen Charlotte, Verica noted, “We thoroughly enjoyed that experience. It was more of a smaller look at a particular love story that spanned over those episodes, and I think we kind of caught something that people really responded to. So we are in talks of some other projects and hopefully, something, some news, something will be coming out at some point. Hopefully.”
When pressed for additional details about these potential projects, Verica stated, “I cannot.”
He elaborated, “I’ll say this, there have been characters that you have met before, ones that you were invested in, but again, we’re talking about different possibilities, and the great thing about having a cast this size is there’s a lot of stories to dive into. But the particular ones we’re talking about, it’s going to be really, really enjoyable.”

The series, adapted from Julia Quinn’s novels, has already been renewed for fifth and sixth seasons. Claudia Jessie, who portrays Eloise, did not confirm whether Season 5 would center on her character’s romantic journey.
Showrunner Jess Brownell has indicated that “both characters with initials on my pocket squares will get seasons in five in six,” though the sequence remains undisclosed. The initials reference E and F, for Eloise and Francesca.
