Costume Designer from ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Launches Affordable Line at Macy’s Featuring Her Best Creations
Molly Rogers, renowned costume designer known for her work on iconic films like Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada, has launched a new collection with Macy’s titled On 34th x Molly Rogers. The collection features a range of fashionable pieces, all priced under $150.
“The collection is inspired by all of my greatest hits throughout my career,” Rogers stated, highlighting her extensive experiences with fashion projects in New York City. This launch coincides with the upcoming premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, showcasing an array of styles curated by Rogers, including a standout tasseled Dries Van Noten jacket worn by Meryl Streep’s character, Miranda Priestly.
Rogers noted that sourcing the outfit for Andy Sachs, portrayed by Anne Hathaway, during a pivotal Hamptons scene presented a significant challenge. The colorful patchwork maxi dress designed by Gabriela Hearst had to convincingly reflect the character’s access to an exclusive fashion closet.
“This collection is an amalgamation of many beloved ideas from many projects,” Rogers shared, offering a nod to both practical and stylish designs, such as five-pocket pants intended for a "working reporter."

The collection also features vibrant red slingback pumps described as “very appropriate” for Miranda Priestly’s character. Other items include a travel duffle adorned with colorful NYC-inspired patterns and various tops and skirts that blend modern trends with classic silhouettes.

In an interesting twist, Rogers has brought the pigeon motif from her previous styling choices, including the famous pigeon purse from And Just Like That, into her collection. She described the pigeon as her “mascot” this time around.
As fashion enthusiasts look forward to this collaboration, Rogers’ Macy’s collection promises to deliver accessible style that is both fashionable and functional, embodying the spirit of New York fashion culture.
