Karol G
Three nominations: best female Latin artist, best Latin album for Tropicoqueta, and best Latin song for “Latina Foreva.”
Notes: The Colombian singer-songwriter is set to receive the International Artist Award of Excellence, a distinction given to artists whose music has made a global impact. The award, previously held by Whitney Houston in 2009, recognizes exemplary cultural contributions. Karol G won the favorite Latin song honor in 2020 for “Tusa,” featuring Nicki Minaj.
Teyana Taylor
One nomination: best female R&B artist.
Notes: Taylor was honored with the Visionary Award at the Billboard Women in Music event on April 29. Previously, she received Grammy and Oscar nominations for her work on Escape Room and One Battle After Another, respectively.
Hootie & the Blowfish
No current nominations.
Notes: Hootie & the Blowfish is set to perform at the AMAs thirty years after winning the American Music Award for favorite pop/rock new artist, where they famously beat out Blues Traveler and Alanis Morissette.
Maluma

Notes: The Colombian star is scheduled to return to the AMA stage with a performance from his upcoming seventh studio album, Loco x Volver, which releases on May 15.
Riley Green
One nomination: best male country artist.
Notes: Currently featured in the CBS show Marshals, Green will make his AMA performance debut this year.

Seven nominations: new artist of the year, song of the year, breakthrough album of the year, song of the summer, breakthrough rock/alternative artist, best rock/alternative song, best rock/alternative album.
Notes: Sombr’s seven nominations tie him with Morgan Wallen for the most nominations among male artists this year. The pop/alternative artist will perform at the AMAs ahead of his fall arena tour, You Are the Reason.
Keith Urban
No current nominations.
Notes: Urban is set to perform a song from his upcoming 13th studio album, Flow State, scheduled for release on June 12.
Teddy Swims
One nomination: collaboration of the year for “Gone Gone Gone” (collaboration with David Guetta and Tones and I).
Notes: Fresh from performances at Coachella and Stagecoach, Swims will present his latest single “Mr. Know It All.” “Gone Gone Gone” peaked at No. 51 on the Hot 100 in February 2026.
Twenty One Pilots
Two nominations: best rock/alternative artist and best rock/alternative album for Breach.
Notes: The duo will perform their fan favorite “Drag Path,” which gained popularity after its limited-time release as a bonus track. Last year, they won both categories under the previous rock label. Breach, their eighth studio album, achieved No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in September 2025.
KATSEYE
Three nominations: new artist of the year, best music video for “Gnarly,” and breakthrough pop artist.
Notes: This first-time AMA nominee will debut their single “PINKY UP” during the U.S. television broadcast. Among groups or duos, only Fuerza Regida has more nominations this year, with five. KATSEYE is tied for second place in nominations with BTS, HUNTR/X, The Marías, and Sleep Token. “Gnarly” reached No. 82 on the Hot 100 in January 2026.
