On January 22, 2023, Chrissy Teigen shared an engaging Instagram clip of her children, Esti and Wren, engrossed in her performance on Netflix’s Star Search. In the adorable video, the young siblings can be seen watching their mother on screen.
The historic talent show, which launched on January 20, features Teigen on the judging panel alongside Jelly Roll and Sarah Michelle Gellar, while Anthony Anderson serves as host. The revival is set to run for five weeks.
In the video, Esti and Wren are seen sitting together on a sofa as the show plays. Wren voices his concern, asking, “Is it scary?” Teigen reassures him, responding, “No it’s not scary. Look at it, it’s mommy,” as she turns her phone to show them the screen where she walks onto the stage alongside her co-judges.
Initially, Esti and Wren seem unimpressed and slightly perplexed. “That’s mommy, you guys,” Teigen explains. Wren appears confused, asking, “Why? Who?” and expressing his confusion that their mother was both on screen and with them in the room. He then declares, “We’re watching the show!”
Teigen’s delight is palpable as she responds, “Yeah!” The moment turns joyous when Esti finally recognizes her, exclaiming, “That’s momma! That’s mommy!” Teigen echoes their enthusiasm, celebrating their realization.
Teigen humorously captioned the video, “The reviews are in! @starsearchnetflix is 1, not scary and 2, that’s mommy (delayed).”
Teigen, who shares her children—including 9-year-old Luna and 7-year-old Miles—with husband John Legend, showcases a heartfelt family moment amidst their busy lives.
