Chris N’ Eddy’s Delicious Smash Burger Restaurant Expands to Glendale and Van Nuys
Hollywood Restaurant Expands with Two New Locations in Los Angeles County
A well-known Hollywood eatery, celebrated for its signature smash burgers, is set to open two additional locations in Glendale and Van Nuys this spring. Chris N’ Eddy’s, co-owned by Edgar “Eddy” Poghosyan and his childhood friend Chris Karimian, plans to debut the Glendale venue in March, followed by the Van Nuys location in May.
The Glendale restaurant will take over the former Burrito Bomba space at 1360 E. Colorado Blvd., while the Van Nuys outlet will be located at the intersection of Sherman Way and Van Nuys Boulevard, previously home to a Menchie’s.
Poghosyan shared that he first envisioned the burger concept during the COVID-19 pandemic. He invited Karimian to collaborate, prompting Karimian’s move from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Over the next nine months, the duo worked tirelessly to sharpen their burger recipe, resulting in a successful pop-up launch in 2020. By 2021, they had transitioned to a permanent spot in Hollywood at 5539 Sunset Blvd., quickly earning a reputation in Southern California’s competitive burger scene.
In addition to their Hollywood restaurant, Chris N’ Eddy’s also operates at approximately 100 music festivals each year, including prominent events like Coachella and Warped Tour. The brand has become a familiar face for festival-goers in Los Angeles, enhancing their overall experience.
Reflecting on their growth, Poghosyan noted the substantial learning curve he and Karimian have faced as business owners. "We’re more than ready to put in the work to make our spring 2026 expansion a success," he said. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to employ 80 individuals and operate three restaurants, describing it as a blessing.
Customer relationships have been a cornerstone of Chris N’ Eddy’s success, with many clients returning since the pop-up days. Poghosyan remarked on the heartwarming response to their expansion. “It’s not the expansion of a big chain; it’s a small business making its mark in LA. We’re two real people who they know,” he stated.
Emphasizing the importance of customer satisfaction, Poghosyan commented, “From Day One, the customer has been our top priority. At no point have we sacrificed quality or service for personal gain.”
The menu at Chris N’ Eddy’s remains straightforward, featuring smash burgers with meat, cheese, and a toasted potato bun paired with "Chris-Cut" crinkle fries. Popular options include the double smash burger, offered as either “Chris Style,” loaded with veggies, or “Eddy Style,” complete with grilled onions and signature sauce. Poghosyan confirmed that the Glendale and Van Nuys locations will serve the same beloved menu as the original, underscoring their commitment to high-quality food and service.
