Chris Fleming’s Comedy Special ‘Live At The Palace’ Premieres in February on HBO
HBO has announced the premiere of Chris Fleming: Live at the Palace, marking the comedian’s first special, set to air at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Friday, February 27. The special will also be available for streaming on HBO Max.
Filmed at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago, the special features Fleming energetically exploring themes such as masculinity, conga lines, Trader Joe’s, Oreos, NPR, and dog breeds.
Fleming took an active role in the production, serving as an executive producer alongside Alex Bach, Daniel Powell, Molly Mandel, Olivia Doud, Conan O’Brien, and Jeff Ross, with Bill Benz directing the hour.
“I hereby decree my first HBO special will soon be available for you to consume,” Fleming stated. “Please enjoy and feel free to dance along. Thank you and thank you HBO!!”
Nina Rosentein, HBO’s EVP Programming, Late Night & Specials, praised Fleming’s work, stating, “Chris Fleming brings it full force to this special — once you’ve seen him, nothing else quite compares. His jokes are exquisitely precise, and his physical comedy is so borderline acrobatic that you discover something new to laugh at every time. Whether it’s a perfect impression of a crab walk or an intricate joke about Tillamook cheese, his work is a master class in and of itself.”
Fleming has toured nationwide with shows such as Chris Fleming Live, Showpig, Boba Everyday, and Tricky Tricky. His debut special Hell, produced by Jax and Jen Statsky, is available for streaming on Peacock. In addition to his stand-up, Fleming has appeared in television series like Abbott Elementary, Loot, and Corporate, as well as in the film The Last Laugh, featuring Richard Dreyfuss and Chevy Chase. He has also lent his voice to animated projects such as The Great North, Twelve Forever, Summer Camp Island, and Adventure Time: Distant Lands.
Fleming is represented by WME and Mosaic.
