Charlie Gavshon and Rowena Wallace Start New Management and Production Company, Common Ground Entertainment
Charlie Gavshon, formerly of Rogue Management and Entertainment 360, and Rowena Wallace, founder of Peach House, have officially launched Common Ground Entertainment, a new management and production company based in London. The firm aims to represent international talent in acting and filmmaking just ahead of the Berlin Film Festival, where clients Dara Van Dusen and Seemab Gul will premier their debut films.
Dara Van Dusen’s A Prayer for the Dying, which features Johnny Flynn and John C. Reilly, along with Common Ground client Hilton Pelser, will make its world premiere at the festival. Seemab Gul’s Ghost School is scheduled to have its European premiere following its screening at TIFF 2025.
Common Ground’s clientele includes a diverse array of talent such as Taz Skylar, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Jess Alexander, Kola Bodunde, Dan Fogler, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Levi Miller, Hera Hilmar, and Ben Robson. The company is also working with auteur filmmakers and international writer-creators, including the Thiele Brothers from Ohio, Danish filmmaker Gabriel Bier Gislason, and Scottish director Siri Rødnes, who is helming four episodes of the upcoming BBC1 legal drama Counsels.
Common Ground’s production strategy will prioritize international collaboration, providing both clients and external filmmakers with creative development support, financing, and production resources. The current development slate features BIFA-nominated Matt Chambers’ second feature, alongside his adaptation of Andrew Miller’s Booker Prize-shortlisted novel The Land in Winter. The company is also in late-stage development for Laurie Kirwan-Ashman’s debut feature, Lit, with the BFI. Additionally, Common Ground is entering the theatre realm with a stage adaptation by Lea Carpenter, directed by acclaimed playwright Patrick Marber.
Before establishing Common Ground, Gavshon spent 11 years growing his career in Los Angeles at Entertainment 360 and Untitled, before returning to the UK to found Rogue Management. Wallace has led Peach House, a management and production company, for the last five years, having previously worked as an associate producer on Max Minghella’s Teen Spirit, and assisted filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos on The Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Favourite.
In a joint statement, Gavshon and Wallace expressed their enthusiasm for launching Common Ground: “We’re excited to create an inspiring and collaborative space where ambitious filmmakers and acting talent can thrive in their own way. Our approach is tailored, focusing on the long-term development of our multihyphenated clients. Our mission is simple: shaping careers and stories that we can all be proud of.”
They continued, “Our shared experiences and relationships in both the UK and U.S. position us uniquely to assemble exceptional teams for our clients and productions. We aim to champion distinctive voices while keeping the target audience at the forefront. We look forward to announcing more about our projects under the distinctly Common Ground banner soon.”
