Chase Stokes Shares That the ‘Outer Banks’ Cast Is Prepared for the Show’s Finale: “We Want to Finish the Story Well”
Chase Stokes Reflects on Final Season of Outer Banks
Chase Stokes, star of the acclaimed Netflix series Outer Banks, expressed enthusiasm as he and his co-stars prepare to conclude the hit action-adventure show on a high note. The fifth and final season, set to debut in 2026, marks the end of a journey that began during the early days of the pandemic.
In a recent interview with People, Stokes recalled the show’s remarkable evolution from a “little tiny boat show” to a global hit, highlighted by immersive fan events like Poguelandia, held for two consecutive years. He conveyed gratitude for the show’s success, stating, “We’re thankful for the run, and we’re ready for it to be done.”
Stokes emphasized the importance of a fitting conclusion, saying, “We want the story to end on the right note versus [turning] four seasons into Season 9 and we’re going after aliens or something. We want to cut the chord before we lose the plot.”
Alongside fellow cast members Jonathan Daviss, Madelyn Cline, Drew Starkey, Madison Bailey, and Carlacia Grant, Stokes recently wrapped production on the final season. He praised co-creator Jonas Pate for adhering to his vision for the show’s conclusion. “It’s beautiful to know that even though there’s the highs and lows throughout all of the seasons, it’s ending exactly how I was told when I started the show,” he said.
As Stokes looks ahead to his directorial debut, the Outer Banks team is already considering potential spinoffs that could expand the show’s universe.
