Charli XCX Debuts a Bold New Short Hairstyle
Charli XCX Unveils New Bob on the Cover of A Rabbit’s Foot
Charli XCX is turning heads with her latest hairstyle, showcased on the cover of A Rabbit’s Foot. The singer has opted for a striking bob inspired by Italian actress Monica Vitti, marking her shortest cut in years.
In an aesthetic nod to Old Hollywood, the "365" singer graced the magazine’s cover in a classic black spaghetti strap dress paired with black stilettos. This fresh look aligns with a broader trend among several A-listers who have recently made significant hair changes.
“It’s Charli!” the magazine announced on Instagram, formally introducing her as their latest cover star.
For years, Charli has been synonymous with long, flowing waves. This new bob signifies a transition for the British artist, who has made waves with her recent album Brat, capturing the zeitgeist of summer 2024. Distinctively, she is also exploring acting, with eight film projects currently in development.
Among these projects are works such as Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex, Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights of Hero, a collaboration with Takashi Miike, and The Moment, a semi-autobiographical film directed by Aidan Zamiri that reflects the phenomenon of BRAT summer.
Simultaneously, Charli is busy crafting the soundtrack for the upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which features Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The film is set to be released in theaters on February 13, 2026.
In a recent post on Substack, Charli expressed her enthusiasm for the project. “I began to sink into this reimagined world of Wuthering Heights and I suddenly began to feel… inspired," she wrote. "I was immersing myself in a story that was not my own, a story that was steeped in history… I was purely a voyeur and I was enjoying being one.”
As she immerses herself in new endeavors, Charli’s evolving image signals a dynamic period in her career.
