Cape Fear Teaser Trailer Highlights Riveting Psychological Thriller Starring Javier Bardem
Apple TV has unveiled a first look at its highly anticipated limited series, Cape Fear, featuring a teaser trailer and exclusive photos. This 10-episode series is set to premiere on Friday, June 5, with the initial two episodes available at launch, followed by new episodes released each Friday until July 31.
Adapted by writer and executive producer Nick Antosca, Cape Fear is described as a tense psychological thriller reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock’s style. The series explores America’s fascination with true crime in the modern era.

The teaser hints at escalating tension as Anna and Tom begin to question their circumstances and the darkness that threatens their family. “I had a good life once, too,” Max ominously tells the couple, while Anna anxiously wonders, “Is there any way Max could know about what we did?”
The series features an ensemble cast that includes CCH Pounder, Anna Baryshnikov, Jamie Hector, Lily Collias, Joe Anders, and Malia Pyles.
Produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Amblin Television, Cape Fear draws inspiration from the novel “The Executioners,” which previously inspired both the original 1962 film starring Gregory Peck and Martin Scorsese’s 1991 remake.
The series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, who produced the 1991 film, alongside Scorsese. Antosca serves as showrunner and producer, joined by Alex Hedlund of Eat The Cat, along with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television. Adams and Bardem also hold executive producer credits, with Morten Tyldum directing the pilot.
