Candice Guardino Signs Deal with Comedy Dynamics for Her First Comedy Special ‘Italian Bred’
Comedian Candice Guardino Signs Deal with Comedy Dynamics for Debut Special
Comedian Candice Guardino has officially partnered with Comedy Dynamics to release her debut special, Italian Bred, set to premiere on January 27, 2026.
The special draws inspiration from Guardino’s life experiences, showcasing her ability to embody various characters, including her spirited grandmother. It offers audiences a nostalgic glimpse into her upbringing in a lively Italian family on Staten Island.
Directed by Samuel Brownfield, the special was filmed at the Two River Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey. Guardino not only wrote and performed the material but also collaborated with producer Chris DiPetta, known for his work on Billy Gardell: Halftime and Showtime’s Road Dogs.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Brian and Comedy Dynamics,” Guardino expressed. “I’m beyond excited to finally share these true stories and have people laugh with me about my childhood trauma — because if I don’t laugh, I’ll cry!”
Born in Brooklyn, Guardino has gained recognition as a performer, co-hosting the podcast Don’t Start! alongside WWE’s Sarah Schreiber. Currently, she is writing her debut comedic essay collection, Confessions of an Italian Bred Girl (Because Therapy is Expensive and Laughing at Myself Is Free), which is being pitched to publishers. She is also in the process of developing a television project inspired by her grandmother’s secret family journals.
