Camila Alves and Her 16-Year-Old Daughter Share a Chic Moment in Matching Outfits
Camila Alves and her daughter, Vida Alves McConaughey, enjoyed a special mother-daughter outing on Tuesday, attending Time magazine’s annual Women of the Year Gala in Los Angeles. The event marked a rare public appearance for the duo.
Both dressed to impress, Alves opted for a long, creamy white, double-breasted blazer dress, while her 16-year-old daughter chose a chic little black dress paired with sheer tights and platform heels. The striking resemblance between them was further accentuated by their natural curls, creating a unified look for the evening.
Alves and her husband, actor Matthew McConaughey, have been married for over a decade and share three children: Levi, 17; Vida, and 13-year-old Livingston. The family was last seen together publicly in April 2025 during the Mack, Jack & McConaughey Gala, a charity event focused on children’s empowerment held in their hometown of Austin, Texas.
In a recent discussion, McConaughey reflected on their nearly 14-year marriage, emphasizing the need for ongoing effort to maintain a healthy relationship. On the podcast On Purpose, he remarked, "Honeymoon’s only in the perfection stage. It’s only up in the air," conveying the sentiment that lasting love requires work and is not about constantly seeking perfection.
He noted that expecting a marriage to remain in a honeymoon phase is "unfair," acknowledging the challenges that come with such expectations. "You vow to love each other in say, a marriage for instance—and it’s through sickness and health until death," he added, reinforcing the importance of continual commitment in a relationship.
