Caitlyn Jenner Praises Timothée Chalamet for Making Kylie Happy

Caitlyn Jenner has broken her silence on the relationship between her daughter, Kylie Jenner, and Timothée Chalamet. In a video captured by a reporter from TMZ on January 15, Caitlyn shared her positive impression of the actor while at LAX.

When asked about her feelings toward Chalamet, Caitlyn stated, “I just want my daughter to be happy. And she is, and I like that.”

She added that she has met the 30-year-old actor and enjoyed the film Marty Supreme, referring to him as a “great kid” and a “phenomenal actor.” Caitlyn further noted, “He’s a good kid, and he’s very good to Kylie. Even more important.”

Caitlyn Jenner, who came out as transgender in 2015, shares daughters Kylie, 28, and Kendall Jenner, 30, with her ex-wife Kris Jenner. The couple ended their marriage in 2014 after 20 years.

Previously, Caitlyn has spoken about her close relationship with her children. In an interview with Dear Media’s The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast in January 2021, Caitlyn mentioned that while she feels a strong connection with both daughters, she feels particularly close to Kylie, often sharing meals together.

“I get along very well with the two of them, but Kylie and I just seem to be closer most of the time,” Caitlyn explained. She characterized Kendall as “a little bit more secretive,” while noting that Kylie is “more of an open book.”

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have been romantically linked since 2023, initially crossing paths at Paris Fashion Week. They have maintained a level of privacy regarding their relationship, making their red carpet debut together in May 2025.

During the 2026 Critics Choice Awards on January 4, Chalamet expressed his gratitude toward Kylie during his acceptance speech for Best Actor for Marty Supreme. “Lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years,” he said. “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you.”

While seated in the audience, Kylie was seen mouthing, “I love you, too.”

Chalamet paid tribute to Kylie again at the 2026 Golden Globes, thanking his loved ones for their unwavering support. “I’d be lying if I didn’t say those moments didn’t make this moment that much sweeter. For my parents, for my partner, I love you. Thank you so much,” he stated.
