Earthquake Rattles Cabazon Area During Stagecoach Festival
A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Cabazon area on Sunday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey. The tremor was recorded at 8:44 a.m. at a depth of approximately eight miles.
Residents across several communities in the low desert, including Palm Springs, Thousand Palms, and Cathedral City, reported feeling the earthquake. Notably, attendees of the ongoing Stagecoach Festival in Indio also sensed the shaking.
Fortunately, no injuries or structural damage have been reported following the seismic event. Local authorities continue to monitor the situation.
