BurntPeanut, Alan Chikin Chow, and That’s Amazing Collaborate on Exciting New Creator Venture: Biz Volt Factor
Volt Factor Launches as a Major Player in Creator IP Space
Volt Factor has officially entered the creator intellectual property landscape, partnering with notable figures such as TheBurntPeanut, Alan Chikin Chow, and That’s Amazing. The newly formed company positions itself as a platform dedicated to transforming creators’ content into globally recognized brands, handling global licensing rights on their behalf.
Co-founded by entrepreneur and licensing executive Elan Freedman, who will serve as CEO, and former YouTube executive Lindsay Hampton, now President, Volt Factor aims to provide operational support for creator-led projects. According to Freedman, the company was established on the premise that the creator economy produces valuable intellectual property often underutilized outside traditional studio systems.
“Enduring franchises don’t happen by accident – they are built with intention,” Freedman stated. He emphasized the importance of bringing top creators into the franchise arena, recognizing Hampton’s established relationships with influential talents on the YouTube platform.
Hampton echoed Freedman’s sentiments, noting that while creators have developed engaged audiences and recognized IP, many lack the resources to maximize the value of their creations. “We started Volt Factor to change that. We work alongside creators and their teams, leading product strategy and execution,” she said, underscoring the company’s focus on allowing creators to concentrate on their core strengths.
The company kicks off its operations by representing a select group of creators known for their strong brand identity and potential for cross-category appeal.
Among its launch partners, TheBurntPeanut stands out as the top Twitch streamer, boasting over three million followers and 300 million views. Meanwhile, Alan Chikin Chow, the number one YouTube Shorts creator globally, oversees “Alan’s Universe,” the most-watched narrative-driven series on YouTube with over 125 million subscribers and two billion monthly views. He is also developing a Netflix series and plans to launch a K-pop group in collaboration with HYBE America.
That’s Amazing, founded by the End brothers from Wisconsin, operates a multi-channel ecosystem with over 40 million followers and 22 billion lifetime views, and it holds the Guinness World Record for the most-viewed YouTube Short with 4.6 billion views.
Strategically aligned with industry veterans, Volt Factor’s advisory board includes Stephen Davis, former Chief Content Officer at Hasbro; Ken Black, former VP at Nike; Jim Lee of Crunch Labs; and Ed Latessa, a seasoned investor.
Freedman brings significant experience in creator economy licensing, having developed successful programs for franchises such as "Little Baby Bum" and "Spy Ninjas." His family roots in licensing trace back to Surge Licensing, the master toy licensor for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Hampton, with 14 years at YouTube, has a history of managing key creators and leading initiatives in creator retention and monetization.
With these strategic partnerships and insights, Volt Factor aims to redefine how creator-led content is monetized and expanded into enduring brands.
