BTS Members Share Their Thoughts on Being Mentioned by Drake in New Song “Iceman”

Drake has once again demonstrated his influence in the music industry by name-checking K-pop sensations BTS in a track from his newly released album, Iceman. This recognition prompted members j-hope and V to share their genuine reactions in a video.
On May 15, V posted an Instagram Stories clip featuring the duo enjoying themselves while listening to Drake’s track “Make Them Cry.” When Drake raps, “I’m feeling like BTS, ’cause it took the whole career for me to be so discovered,” they both freeze and glance at the camera, visibly surprised.
The expression on their faces reflects their disbelief, with j-hope and V exchanging looks before the clip concludes. V chose not to caption the video, opting instead to tag Drake directly.
This isn’t the first instance of Drake acknowledging BTS. In 2018, he included a clip of j-hope participating in the “In My Feelings” dance challenge within the song’s official music video.
“Make Them Cry” is one of 18 tracks included in Iceman, which was released unexpectedly alongside two additional albums, Maid of Honour and Habibti.
Meanwhile, BTS is also enjoying recent success with their album ARIRANG, released in March. The album held the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 for three weeks, while the lead single “SWIM” debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The group is currently on tour, performing in stadiums worldwide, with recent shows in Mexico City that spanned three nights at Estadio GNP Seguros.
