BTS Confirms New Album Release Date
BTS has officially announced the release date for their highly anticipated new album, marking their return after nearly four years. The K-pop sensation’s latest album is set to drop on March 20, 2025.
The announcement comes after the group sent handwritten notes to selected members of their fan club, BTS ARMY, which included the release date. Each of the seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — participated in this personal outreach.
Media outlets in South Korea have corroborated the announcement, ensuring fans that the release is confirmed. The forthcoming album follows their last release, Proof, in June 2022, shortly before the group entered an extended hiatus to fulfill South Korea’s mandatory military service, which all male citizens are required to complete.
During a group livestream earlier this year, BTS hinted at new music, stating that they would begin recording soon but refrained from providing an exact release date at that time.

“We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started; it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas,” the group stated during the livestream. They also announced plans for a tour following the album’s release.
Formed in 2013, BTS gained popularity within the K-pop scene before achieving global mainstream success in 2017 with hits like "MIC DROP" and "DNA." The group solidified their status as one of the most successful K-pop acts of all time, with six songs that topped the Billboard Hot 100.
Since their hiatus began, each member has embarked on solo projects, releasing at least one solo album between 2022 and 2025.
