Brush Fire Emerges Close to Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea
Evacuation Warnings Issued Amid Brush Fire in Brea
Evacuation warnings were issued Saturday afternoon following a brush fire in an unincorporated area of Brea. The fire, named the Carbon Fire, was reported just after 1:30 p.m. near Carbon Canyon and Olinda Place, close to Carbon Canyon Regional Park, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
As of now, the blaze has scorched approximately 5 acres, prompting officials to issue evacuation warnings for the Hollydale Mobile Home Park and Olinda Village. Residents and onlookers are advised to steer clear of the area until further notice.
In response to the firefighting efforts, Carbon Canyon Road has been closed between Ruby Drive and Break Hills Avenue. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
