Holiday Preferences: Brooks Nader Speaks Out on Christmas Decor
Brooks Nader recently shared her strong opinions on holiday decorations during an exclusive interview, revealing a few aesthetic choices that she finds less than appealing.
In a discussion with PEOPLE, the 28-year-old model and star of Love Thy Nader noted her preference for a traditional Christmas theme in her new Los Angeles home, which features a classic tree adorned with red bows. However, she expressed distaste for specific decor items commonly seen during the festive season.
“I cannot stand tinsel,” Nader remarked emphatically. “I hate it — I just can’t.” She also criticized “themed” Christmas trees, particularly those that are “frosty white” or “all silver,” stating, “I just really don’t want anyone to do that in front of me. It’s not a vibe.”
Nader’s aesthetic leans towards a classic style, humorously referring to it as “Ralph Lauren-y,” and remarked, “The only time I keep it classy is with my Christmas decor.”
Images of Nader’s decorated tree, showcased with red, silver, and gold ornaments, display her traditional approach. Dark red bows are also scattered throughout the evergreen. Although she initially hesitated to incorporate the bows due to their nostalgic ties to her Southern upbringing—where they were a common feature in her childhood—she ultimately found themselves appealing.
Reflecting on her holiday plans, Nader is excited to host her “whole crazy family” in her Los Angeles home. Her family includes her sisters and co-stars from Love Thy Nader, as well as her parents.
One cherished holiday tradition for Nader and her family is to wear matching Christmas pajamas and make cookies together. Additionally, she highlighted her father’s special role in their festive mornings, saying, “My dad is so cute. He loves cooking us breakfast, so he makes his famous little breakfast every Christmas morning, and I just wouldn’t have it any other way.”
