Brooke Lee Revives a Dinah Shore Classic High Above the Desert
NEED TO KNOW
- Brooke Lee stars in Chevrolet’s latest commercial.
- The rising country star brings her own flair to the iconic “See the USA in Your Chevrolet” jingle.
- For the shoot, Chevrolet transported Lee, her guitar, and a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 to the summit of Castle Rock in Utah.
In a stunning new commercial, country music artist Brooke Lee showcases her talents in a breathtaking setting that might easily be mistaken for a digital creation. However, the vibrant visuals are very much real, as Lee and her gear were nearly 400 feet above the desert floor during the filming.
“I’m an adrenaline junkie,” says the 26-year-old in an interview. “I always say I want the coolest story at the dinner table, and I definitely have one now.”
Lee’s adventure to the top of Castleton Tower, often referred to as Castle Rock, marks Chevrolet’s inaugural entry in a campaign celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. “I remember driving up and seeing Castle Rock for the first time, and that’s when it really hit me,” she reflects. “I had seen videos and pictures of past commercials, but seeing it right in front of you — it was huge.”

This was Lee’s first time atop the sandstone spire, although Chevrolet has showcased Castleton Tower in previous commercials, flying both talent and vehicles to the summit each time—no artificial intelligence required. “I’ve never been on a helicopter before, but that’s how I got up there,” Lee recalls, noting she finished filming the commercial on her 26th birthday. “My adrenaline was just kicking in, so I was more excited than anything.”
While the weather was largely cooperative, conditions at such altitude presented their own challenges. “It was freezing and the wind was crazy,” Lee describes. “My white dress was just flowing everywhere, but it was awesome. Not many people have been able to stand there before, so I tried to take it all in. Just sitting up there and watching the sun come up around us was epic.”
The significance of the commercial extends beyond its picturesque backdrop as Lee performs the same jingle famously sung by Dinah Shore in the 1950s. “I called my grandparents and told them what was going on, and they knew every word to the song,” she recalls while discussing her contemporary interpretation of “See the USA in Your Chevrolet.”
Initially, Lee experienced a wave of nerves before one of the final takes. “They had me just sing it a cappella and hold the guitar, and I was like asking myself, ‘Girl, you got this?’” she remembers. This empowering moment is particularly noteworthy, as previous commercials at Castleton Tower featured models, not musicians. “I kept thinking, what did the prior women think when they were sitting up here, and how did they feel?” Lee adds. “It was just a huge honor to be able to be up there.”

The commercial will debut exclusively during the Winter Olympics opening ceremonies and will also air during the Super Bowl pregame show. It marks what is poised to be a breakout year for Lee, who has previously toured with artists like Willie Nelson and Gavin DeGraw, and who recently released her single “Burn to Black.”
