Britt Lower, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, and Selton Mello Join Cast of Michael Almereyda’s Zero K
Britt Lower, known for her role in Severance, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas from Sentimental Value, and Selton Mello of I’m Still Here are set to appear in Michael Almereyda’s upcoming feature, Zero K. They join previously announced cast members Caleb Landry Jones and Peter Sarsgaard.
Based on the novel by Don DeLillo, Zero K follows a tech billionaire, portrayed by Sarsgaard, as he prepares his dying wife, played by Lilleaas, for cryonic preservation in a cutting-edge medical facility. Meanwhile, his estranged son, portrayed by Jones, seeks stability with a woman raising a young son, played by Lower.
This dramatic sci-fi narrative explores the dichotomy between faith in the present and the allure of an engineered afterlife. Production is currently underway in São Paulo, Brazil.
An RT Features, Keep Your Head, and Oak Street Pictures production, Zero K is produced by Anthony Katagas, Rodrigo Teixeira of RT Features, Almereyda, and Renee Frigo. Executive producers include Berta Marchiori, Marília Garske, and Glauco Urbim.
This announcement arrives as RT Features showcases Paper Tiger, a Palme d’Or competitor directed by James Gray, starring Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver, and Miles Teller, at the Cannes Film Festival, alongside Dominga Sotomayor’s La Perra in Directors’ Fortnight.
Lower has gained international recognition for her role as Helly R in the Apple TV series Severance, which also features Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, and Christopher Walken. Lilleaas was recently seen in the Cannes Grand Prix and Oscar-winning film Sentimental Value alongside Elle Fanning. Mello received acclaim for his role as Rubens Paiva in Walter Salles’ Oscar-winning drama I’m Still Here.
Mello is represented by Conway van Gelder Grant and TFC Management, while Lower is represented by UTA and Ames Hashagen Entertainment. Lilleaas is represented by CAA, Team Players, and Curtis Brown Group.
