Britney Spears is reflecting as the holiday season approaches. After reactivating her Instagram account on November 7, the pop superstar shared an introspective message on November 29, discussing the valuable lessons learned from adversity.
This message coincided with a video clip of Spears dancing to Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).” In the video, she playfully lip-syncs to the lyrics, “We’ve gotta let go of all of our ghosts / We both know we ain’t kids no more.”
In her lengthy, since-edited caption, Spears remarked, “Haven’t found my party dress for this year 👗… Reflecting is good for the soul… Sometimes when hard things happen, good things come from it and we learn… I learned that a real note of expression with emotion speaks volumes for us all!!”
She emphasized the importance of retaining one’s inner child. “Call it childish, silly, annoying… We grow up to become women, but do you dare keep the most sensitive part of the soul and allow it to rebel?” she continued. “The child within must speak in the most vulnerable of times.”
Spears also touched upon themes of loss, hinting at her memoir, The Woman in Me. She wrote, “Sadness and darkness survive to make an understanding of losing someone and of the hurt and pain… Sometimes through suffering and ugliness and sacrifice, extremely rare and beautiful things can be manifested and shared that can touch another person so they understand they are not alone… and yet the woman in me will make sure I find my destination.”
In a lighter note, Spears concluded her message with a playful mention of her Thanksgiving celebration, stating, “PS I can’t even look at food after this Thanksgiving… I cheated, I was so bad…but it felt so damn good… forgive me father.”
On November 30, she edited her caption to a more concise version: “I felt pretty in that bathing suit 👙🌹🤷🏼♀️ … psss gotta find those Mary Jane shoes.”

Spears’ latest post follows her return to Instagram earlier in November after briefly deactivating the account on November 2. This hiatus occurred amid a public dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline, who recently released a memoir, You Thought You Knew, that elicited significant media attention.
The deactivation was prompted by concerns from fans over Spears’ cryptic posts, which included dancing videos but limited comments on messages regarding her sons, Jayden James, 19, and Sean Preston, 20.
In response to Federline’s memoir, a representative for Spears stated, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her, and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir.”
