Brianna LaPaglia Breaks Silence with Taylor Swift Lyrics Amid Zach Bryan’s New Diss Track

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is taking a stand, utilizing Taylor Swift’s lyrics to convey her thoughts amid ongoing drama with her ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan.

In an Instagram Stories post on January 9, LaPaglia shared Taylor Swift’s song “Actually Romantic,” featuring the lyrics: “It’s actually sweet all the time you’ve spent on me. It’s honestly wild.” This post surfaced shortly after Bryan released his album With Heaven on Top, which fans speculate contains a diss track directed at LaPaglia.

On the track “Skin,” Bryan addresses an ex, vowing to “take a blade to my old tattoos” to sever ties. He sings, “I’m taking a blade to my own skin/And I ain’t ever touching yours again.” Additionally, he challenges his ex’s character with the lyrics, “Do you still talk s— on all of your friends?/Need to take it all to the chin this time stone-cold sober.”

Many fans suspect the song targets LaPaglia, following the announcement of their split in October 2024. LaPaglia, who has Bryan’s lyrics from the song “28” tattooed on her arm, faced a tumultuous breakup, during which she accused him of emotional abuse and claimed he offered her a $12 million settlement to keep quiet about their relationship.

In a previous post, LaPaglia appeared to take a jab at Bryan after he announced his marriage to Samantha Leonard. On January 2, she shared a TikTok video, lip-syncing to Swift’s “Mastermind,” stating, “Checkmate, I couldn’t lose.”

Bryan, 29, recently shared a candid moment from his wedding on Instagram, showcasing Leonard in a strapless gown with the caption, “Tougher than the rest,” a nod to a Bruce Springsteen song.

Prior engagement rumors swirled as Leonard was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand in Bryan’s Instagram Stories. They were first spotted together in July 2025 in Spain during the Running of the Bulls.

In the months following their separation, LaPaglia shared her thoughts regarding Bryan’s new relationship, particularly in response to fan comments noting the resemblance between Leonard and herself. On her podcast, she called it “textbook narcissism,” stating, “I am flattered, to be honest, but I dyed my hair so that people stop sending me every single picture that he posts of her.”

Just a month after her breakup, LaPaglia accused Bryan of emotional abuse during an episode of the BFFs Podcast, alleging that he tried to intimidate her into silence.

“He made the women before me believe that they had no other choice than to take money from you,” she said. “You get to go skip off and sing your little f—ing songs on stage like you’re a good dude… Sorry, I’m not them.”

Although Bryan has yet to address her allegations, he hinted at their tumultuous history through subtle references in his social media posts, including burning a Barstool Sports flag, the media company associated with LaPaglia.

During an April appearance on Casual Chaos, LaPaglia reflected on her relationship with Bryan, noting how it affected her self-perception. “I couldn’t recognize myself anymore,” she admitted. “Someone really can have so much control or power over you without you even realizing it.”
