Brett Favre Chooses Turning Point USA Halftime Show Over Bad Bunny at Super Bowl XL

Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre has made his Halftime Show preference clear for the upcoming 2026 Super Bowl.
On Saturday, February 7, the 56-year-old shared his reasons for opting to watch the “All-American Halftime Show” organized by Turning Point USA instead of Bad Bunny’s performance scheduled for February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
“Not familiar with Bad Bunny so don’t know if his music is good or bad,” Favre wrote on X. “I’m just going to watch what I know: Lee Brice, Kid Rock, All-American Halftime Show.”
Favre’s comments were accompanied by a clip from his podcast, 4th and Favre, which he co-hosts with David Kano.
The official halftime show for Super Bowl LX will feature Grammy-winning artist Bad Bunny, known for performing predominantly in Spanish.
Turning Point USA, founded by the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, announced its “All-American Halftime Show” shortly after Bad Bunny was named the headliner. The lineup includes Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett, and Brantley Gilbert, positioning the event as an alternative to the NFL’s official performance.
Favre, a supporter of President Donald Trump, has faced criticism in response to his post on X.
“Shocking that the guy that defrauded his state’s welfare and sent unsolicited d—k pics to a reporter aligns with Kid Rock and MAGA,” one user commented. Another added, “You wouldn’t [like] Bad Bunny, Brett. He actively gives back to his community instead of defrauding it.”
These remarks reference Favre’s involvement in a controversial Mississippi welfare case, where investigators claimed that public assistance funds were improperly used for projects associated with the former athlete. The case has drawn national attention due to its implications for low-income families. Favre has denied any wrongdoing, as the issue continues to evolve through civil litigation and public scrutiny.
Others expressed their support for Favre’s choice on social media, with one user writing, “Me too! Don’t know who Bad Bunny is???” Another supporter added, “Amen Brett!!” alongside an image of the American flag.
Super Bowl LX is scheduled for Sunday, with the Seattle Seahawks facing off against the New England Patriots. The game will be broadcast on NBC, with livestreaming available on Peacock. The Turning Point USA halftime show will be available on the organization’s social media channels, as well as on platforms like The Daily Wire and TBN.
