Blake Shelton Shares His Thoughts on Gwen Stefani Divorce Speculations
Blake Shelton has publicly addressed recent rumors regarding his relationship with Gwen Stefani, firmly denying reports of an impending divorce. The country music star expressed frustration with the proliferation of false information online, stating, “I don’t believe anything I see on the internet anymore.”
In a recent episode of Country Countdown USA, Shelton recounted how rumors of their split had gained traction despite the couple’s visible displays of affection during a Thanksgiving gathering. “I started noticing these articles popping up about ‘Blake and Gwen, they’re split up,’" he said. “‘They’re not even seeing each other anymore, they’re going through a divorce.’ And then, a week later, a picture comes out of us walking out of the grocery store…‘Oh, they’re back together again!’”
He highlighted the absurdity of the speculation, illustrating how another week without public sightings led to renewed claims of their separation. “I see pictures of Gwen & I that look real, but I know I don’t own that shirt. I don’t believe anything I see on the internet anymore," Shelton added.
Shelton and Stefani have been together for a decade and celebrated five years of marriage. The couple originally met as coaches on The Voice in 2014 while both were navigating high-profile divorces—Stefani from musician Gavin Rossdale and Shelton from Miranda Lambert.
Reflecting on their relationship, Stefani told Howard Stern in 2016, “I wasn’t trying to start a relationship, I was just trying to not die. I had a horrible situation and something great came out of it."
Shelton previously shared with Billboard that Stefani played a crucial role in his emotional recovery during their early days together. “Gwen saved my life,” he remarked, underscoring their shared experiences with divorce and the unique understanding that led to their bond.
Despite the rumors, it’s clear that Shelton and Stefani continue to navigate their relationship with resilience and humor.
