Billy Parks Appointed Head of Fox Creator Studios, Bringing Experience from Chernin Group
Billy Parks, a seasoned commercial producer and former senior executive at The Chernin Group, has been appointed as the head of Fox Creator Studios.
Launched earlier this year at CES, Fox Creator Studios is part of Fox Entertainment’s initiative to strengthen relationships with content creators. This effort aligns with a similar program in Fox’s ad sales division that was also introduced in January.
In his new role, Parks will report directly to Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade. His responsibilities will include identifying talent, developing business models, creating and distributing intellectual property, and enhancing audience engagement. Under Parks’ leadership, Fox Creator Studios intends to produce various formats and franchises for linear, streaming, and digital platforms. The studio has already established partnerships with notable figures like Gordon Ramsay through Studio Ramsay Global, as well as with Rosanna Pansino, Jolly, Sorted Food, The Food Theorists, and Little Remy Food.
Parks began his career in feature films before transitioning to commercials, music videos, and branded entertainment. His portfolio includes Super Bowl campaigns and collaborations with artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé, Jay Z, Eminem, Selena Gomez, and Rihanna, in addition to projects for brands like the NFL, Chrysler, Honda, and AT&T.
Previously, Parks served as EVP of production and programming at The Chernin Group and held senior positions at Fullscreen, Astronauts Wanted, and Otter Media. He eventually returned to Chernin as an operating partner and was most recently a venture partner at Slow Ventures, where he helped manage its creator fund to support creator-led enterprises.
“Fox Creator Studios represents a fundamental evolution in how we work with today’s most dynamic storytellers, bridging the gap between Hollywood and the rapidly expanding creator economy,” Wade stated in a press release. “Billy has built his career at the forefront of creator-driven media, blending creative instinct with investment and operational expertise. He understands that today’s creators are founders and brand builders, and he knows how to scale their ideas into enduring businesses. As we expand our digital ecosystem, we want to empower creators to bring their dreams to life, and Billy is the ideal leader to drive that effort.”
Parks noted that creators are “building the most dynamic media business in the world on their terms, recognizing that the future belongs to ideas that travel.” He added that Fox has a storied legacy of empowering creative talent, and he views Fox Creator Studios as a natural continuation of that tradition.
