Beyoncé has officially reached billionaire status, becoming only the fifth musician to do so, according to a report from Forbes published on December 29. The analysis indicates that the global superstar has moved into the ten-digit wealth bracket.
The 35-time Grammy winner crossed this financial milestone in 2025, following an exceptionally successful tour. The Cowboy Carter tour was particularly notable, grossing $407.6 million from 1.6 million tickets sold during the summer. Additionally, the earnings from her 2023 Renaissance World Tour and various business ventures, including her Cécred and SirDavis Whisky brands, contributed significantly to her newfound billionaire status. However, Forbes notes that a substantial portion of her wealth derives from her music, with Beyoncé maintaining control over her valuable catalog and enjoying substantial income from global tours.
With this achievement, Beyoncé joins a select group of musicians, including her husband Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Bruce Springsteen, who have built an empire worth over $1 billion. Other reports have also recognized artists like Paul McCartney, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Selena Gomez among billionaires based on different criteria. Beyoncé began her focused business approach in 2010 with the establishment of Parkwood Entertainment, allowing her to manage the production of her music, performances, tours, and visual media, thereby securing a larger proportion of the profits.
Renowned as one of the music industry’s most significant figures, Beyoncé’s impressive longevity in her career has attracted the attention of financial analysts for years. In December 2023, she made headlines when her net worth surged from $500 million to $800 million within a single year, largely attributed to the success of her Renaissance World Tour.
Since her transition to a solo career in 2003, Beyoncé has released eight studio albums, all of which have debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. She has also secured nine No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
In addition to ranking as the second highest-grossing tour of 2025, surpassed only by Coldplay, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour set numerous records. It became the highest-grossing country tour in Billboard Boxscore history and achieved the milestone of grossing over $400 million in just 32 performances, marking it as the shortest such tour to reach that financial level.
