Berto Colón and Hart Denton Join Cast of Paramount+ Series ‘Dutton Ranch’
Berto Colón and Hart Denton have been officially cast in the upcoming Paramount+ series Dutton Ranch, a spinoff focused on characters from the popular series Yellowstone. Created by Chad Feehan, the show is based on characters established by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson.
Dutton Ranch is set to premiere on Friday, May 15, with two episodes available at launch. The series follows Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) as they strive to carve out a future together, all while navigating the challenges posed by a ruthless rival ranch willing to do anything to protect its interests. Set against the backdrop of South Texas, themes of blood ties, fleeting forgiveness, and the harsh cost of survival are central to the narrative.
Colón will portray Miguel, a dedicated cowboy characterized by his quiet yet formidable presence. Meanwhile, Denton takes on the role of Chet, an employee at a major competing ranch.
The series also boasts a notable ensemble cast, including Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, Ed Harris, and Annette Bening. Feehan serves not only as the creator but also as the showrunner and executive producer, collaborating with executive producers Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. Additional executive producers include David C. Glasser, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Keith Cox. Voros also directs multiple episodes this season, including the premiere and finale, alongside directors Greg Yaitanes, Jessica Lowrey, and Phil Abraham.
Colón is recognized for his roles in Netflix’s The Night Agent and the HBO limited series The Penguin, as well as Power Book II: Ghost. He gained acclaim for his portrayal of Cesar in Orange is the New Black and has appeared in various other projects such as When They See Us and Show Me a Hero.
Denton, known for his work in the CW’s Riverdale and Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, is also contributing to the voice cast of the animated series Twilight: Midnight Sun. His previous credits include Deltopia, The Duel, and American Cherry.
As anticipation builds for the release of Dutton Ranch, the combination of its experienced cast and creative team suggests a compelling addition to the Yellowstone franchise.
