Benjamin Bratt Teams Up with Viola Davis and Jason Clarke in New Amazon MGM Thriller ‘Ally Clark’
Benjamin Bratt Joins Viola Davis and Jason Clarke in Upcoming Thriller ‘Ally Clark’
In an exciting development for the film industry, Benjamin Bratt, known for his role in Andor, will join Viola Davis and Jason Clarke in the upcoming thriller Ally Clark, produced by Amazon MGM Studios. This collaboration was first reported last June.
Details regarding Bratt’s character have not yet been revealed.
Ally Clark will take audiences on a journey from the skyscrapers of New York City to the bayous of Louisiana and the icy peaks of Alaska. The film follows investigator Ally Clark, portrayed by Davis, as she navigates a dangerous investigation into an international conglomerate following the mysterious death of a close friend.
Phillip Noyce is set to direct the film, based on a script by Jose Ruisanchez and Irwin Winkler. This marks Bratt’s reunion with Noyce, the director he last worked with on the 1994 film Clear and Present Danger. The project also sees Bratt collaborating with Amazon MGM once again, shortly after wrapping up the upcoming action-comedy Balls Up, directed by Peter Farrelly, in which he stars alongside Mark Wahlberg, Paul Walter Hauser, and Molly Shannon.
Producers for Ally Clark include Irwin Winkler, Charles Winkler, David Winkler, and Ruisanchez from Winkler Films, along with Davis and Julius Tennon from JuVee Productions. Melanie Clark from JuVee and Ian Watermeier are also serving as executive producers.
Bratt’s impressive acting resume includes notable films such as Leon Ichaso’s Piñero, Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic, and Curtis Hanson’s The River Wild. His upcoming projects consist of Dan Fogelman’s Hulu NFL drama The Land and Season 2 of Ballard for Prime Video. Recently, he has been featured in Season 2 of Disney+’s Andor, Edward Burns’ film Millers in Marriage, Netflix’s Mother of the Bride, and Apple TV’s Loot.
Bratt is represented by Circle Management + Production, CAA, and Myman Greenspan Fox.
