Avengers: Doomsday Teaser Hints at the Fantastic Four’s Comeback and M’Baku’s New Role as King of Wakanda
Marvel has intensified anticipation for their upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, by revealing significant character returns in a newly released teaser. Among the highlights are the Fantastic Four and Winston Duke’s M’Baku, now identified as the King of Wakanda.
The one-minute clip showcases Letitia Wright in her custom Black Panther suit, landing in a sprawling desert alongside Winston Duke. As they traverse the arid landscape, they encounter visions of Tenoch Huerta Mejía’s Namor, before being greeted by members of the Fantastic Four. Duke’s character, M’Baku, asserts his role as the King of Wakanda.
The teaser concludes with the caption: “The Wakandans and The Fantastic Four Will Return In Avengers: Doomsday.”
Avengers: Doomsday is set to premiere in cinemas on December 18, directed by the Russo brothers, who previously helmed Avengers: Endgame. That film remains the second-highest-grossing movie of all time, with earnings of $2.799 billion.
Additional cast members confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday include Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Vanessa Kirby as Susan Storm, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Florence Pugh as Yelena.
This sequel will also introduce fans to X-Men stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time, such as Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier / Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), James Marsden (Cyclops), and Kelsey Grammer (Beast).
In addition to Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel is preparing for Avengers: Secret Wars, slated for release in December 2027.
