At the 2024 event, Hamilton embraced the “Garden of Time” theme with a subtle monochromatic black Burberry jacket, featuring intricate black floral designs.
In an interview with Vogue in May 2024, Hamilton expressed his admiration for the event and its organizer, Anna Wintour. “What I love about the Met, and what Anna does with the Met, is that I’m able to really deep dive into the theme,” he stated. He also revealed that his outfit was inspired by John Ystumllyn, who is recognized as the first Black gardener in the U.K. “Through adversity, he really triumphed, so that’s where the inspiration really came from,” Hamilton added.
