Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Share a Heartfelt Medley of ‘Get Happy’ and ‘Happy Days’ at a Cozy Hollywood Event

Fans of Wicked celebrated a memorable evening as Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo delivered a surprise performance of “Get Happy”/”Happy Days Are Here Again” during an intimate gathering in Hollywood on Tuesday, December 2.
The event, hosted by Universal Pictures to mark the beginning of the awards season, took place at The Aster members club following a screening of Wicked: For Good, which premiered internationally on November 21. Guests enjoyed dinner and cocktails before the film aired at TCL Chinese 6 Theatre, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Later in the evening, Grande and Erivo took to the stage to perform “For Good,” a standout duet from the musical’s second act. They followed this with their rendition of the “Happy” mashup, previously showcased in NBC’s November Wicked: One Wonderful Night concert special. Grande, dressed in a flowing white gown, sang Judy Garland’s part, while Erivo, in a striking black netting dress, delivered Barbra Streisand’s vocals from the celebrated 1963 version of the medley.
The performance concluded with the two stars embracing as the audience erupted in applause.
Although the exclusive mashup was only available to those present at the event, a live version from the Wicked: One Wonderful Night concert special can be streamed, along with all other performances from the event. An album featuring the live recordings was released following the airing on NBC.
The soundtrack for Wicked: For Good coincided with its theatrical release, now available on streaming services. The soundtrack made its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart dated December 6, coming in just behind Stray Kids’ Do It EP.
