Angel McCoughtry Teams Up to Create Exciting New Animation Project
Former WNBA star Angel McCoughtry is entering the animation industry through a new partnership with Digital Epic Studio. This collaboration aims to produce a diverse range of animated content, including films, television shows, digital media, and branded projects.
Founded in 2019 by Ahmad Hamass, Digital Epic Studio transitioned from a marketing agency to a full-fledged production company. Under this partnership, McCoughtry Entertainment will take the lead on creative direction while Digital Epic Studio manages production tasks. The team’s development slate will feature a variety of projects, including a feature film, animated shorts, and content for digital platforms.
In a statement, McCoughtry Entertainment emphasized their vision: “Our goal is simple. We provide animation that meets people where they are — whatever the vision, whatever the style, whatever the platform.”

Angel McCoughtry, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time All-Star, is also preparing for her feature directorial debut with a thriller titled Apt 6B. Her debut short film is set to premiere on Amazon this month.
