Last night, an elegant fusion of Italian sophistication and the lively atmosphere of Beverly Hills unfolded during an exclusive dinner at Marea Beverly Hills. Hosted by Salvatore Ferragamo, grandson of the legendary designer, the event showcased the introduction of Il Borro and Pinino wines to the Los Angeles market. This gathering highlighted the Ferragamo family’s commitment to winemaking, sustainability, and hospitality.

The evening commenced with a private tasting at the Ferragamo boutique on Rodeo Drive, where attendees savored the Il Borro and Pinino collections in a stylish ambiance. Arriving in a Ferrari Roma Spider, a collaboration with Ferrari Beverly Hills, Salvatore Ferragamo set a luxurious tone for the night.

Following the tasting, guests were escorted to Marea Beverly Hills, the West Coast location of the acclaimed New York restaurant operated by the Altamarea Group. Known for revolutionizing fine Italian seafood dining, Marea’s expansion has quickly garnered attention among Los Angeles’s culinary community.
The evening’s six-course dinner, expertly paired with wines and guided by Francesco Grosso, Wine Director of Altamarea Group, featured selections such as Bolle di Borro Rosé and the newly released Brunello di Montalcino from Pinino. The dinner culminated with Il Borro Toscana, showcasing a sophisticated Super Tuscan blend of Merlot, Sangiovese, and Syrah. Each pairing was curated to complement Chef PJ Calapa’s renowned menu, offering a distinctive interpretation of Tuscan flavors.

Salvatore Ferragamo reflected on the evening, stating, “The evening reflected the meeting of Italian craftsmanship, culinary artistry, and the Ferragamo family’s legacy of excellence. Our wines are born from the same values my grandfather built his fashion house on—integrity, innovation, and a deep respect for Italian heritage. Tonight was about more than fine wine and cuisine; it was about bringing together a community that shares those values. Hosting this gathering at Marea Beverly Hills felt like a natural connection.”
Ahmass Fakahany, Founder and CEO of Altamarea Group, echoed this sentiment, noting, “It was a true pleasure to host Salvatore Ferragamo and Il Borro Wines at Marea Beverly Hills last night, such a perfect match. The evening beautifully captured the shared spirit of Italian excellence, craftsmanship, hospitality, and authenticity that defines both Marea and the Ferragamo family’s winemaking heritage.”

The dinner not only celebrated remarkable wine and cuisine but paid homage to the art of Italian living, from Tuscany’s rolling vineyards to the refined settings of Beverly Hills.
Located in Tuscany, Il Borro has been under the stewardship of Ferruccio Ferragamo since 1993, now managed alongside his children, Salvatore and Vittoria Ferragamo. The estate, which achieved full organic status in 2015, exemplifies a holistic dedication to luxury and sustainability. With a restored medieval village, 41 private suites, and various dining venues led by Executive Chef Andrea Campani, Il Borro offers visitors a unique experience of Italian elegance.
Spanning 85 hectares of organic vineyards, Il Borro produces a range of distinguished wines, including the acclaimed Bolle di Borro Classic Method Rosé and the signature Super Tuscan blend, Il Borro Toscana. Each bottle reflects the estate’s commitment to authenticity and quality, hallmarks of the Ferragamo legacy.

Founded in 2009, Altamarea Group rapidly established itself within the luxury dining landscape with Marea New York, its flagship restaurant opposite Central Park. Expanding globally, Altamarea now operates over 20 restaurants in various major cities, each reflecting a dedication to exceptional dining experiences.
The event at Marea Beverly Hills transcended mere introductions, evolving into a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and community, continuing to inspire a global appreciation for Italian excellence.
