Amelia Gray Hamlin Responds to Plastic Surgery Claims Amid Controversy
Amelia Gray Hamlin has recently faced online scrutiny after a cosmetics injector accused her of being misleading regarding her cosmetic procedures. The 24-year-old model was dubbed “delulu” on social media, igniting a wave of commentary on her appearance.
In an Instagram post, content creator Molly Bailey criticized Hamlin, posting side-by-side photos that contrasted her appearance over the years. “Amelia Gray Hamlin starring in a show about unrealistic beauty standards (‘The Beauty’ on FX) while perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards is the level of delulu I aspire to be,” Bailey wrote.
Bailey elaborated, suggesting that Hamlin’s appearance might be a result of various cosmetic enhancements, including cheek fillers, lip fillers, and rhinoplasty, positing, “The Rinna genetics are more powerful than we thought,” referencing Hamlin’s mother, actress Lisa Rinna.
Shortly afterward, Hamlin responded to the allegations, labeling Bailey’s claims as “fake news.” She firmly stated, “women need to support women” in her Instagram reply.
This online exchange highlights Hamlin’s recent assertions regarding her beauty regimen. She claimed she has never received filler injections, only receiving “moisturizer injections” through a treatment called SkinVive. In a previous interview with Variety, Hamlin insisted, “I’ve always had these lips,” emphasizing her natural features.
Hamlin has previously opened up about her experiences with cosmetic surgery, revealing that she underwent rhinoplasty and a breast reduction at 16 due to complications from a nipple ring. Reflecting on her breast augmentation, she expressed regret about the decision, stating, “I woke up in a state that I didn’t agree to.”
This latest episode not only underscores the pressures placed on public figures regarding their appearance but also sparks discussions about the societal expectations surrounding beauty in the entertainment industry.
