AMC Welcomes TNA Wrestling to Its Thursday Night Schedule
AMC Networks has announced a new multi-year agreement with TNA Wrestling, allowing weekly TNA bouts to be broadcast on AMC. This partnership marks a significant expansion for TNA, which has been a key player in professional wrestling since its founding in 2002.
TNA Wrestling operates as a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of AXS TV, HDNet Movies, and various combat sports holdings. Earlier this year, TNA co-produced “The Border Brawl,” a live event streamed on the FAST channel Zone-ify.
Under the new arrangement, TNA’s Thursday Night Impact will debut on AMC with a live event in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on January 15, followed by a stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the following week. The two-hour block will air year-round and will also be available on the streaming service AMC+.
Despite the ongoing trend of cord-cutting, wrestling remains a strong draw for cable programmers. Popular programs include WWE on USA Network, WWE Next on the CW, and All Elite Wrestling on Warner Bros. Discovery platforms. Meanwhile, streaming has begun to encroach on traditional cable viewership, highlighted by Netflix’s recent landmark deal for WWE Raw.

Over its more than 20-year history, TNA Wrestling has featured iconic stars such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Sting, and AJ Styles. The current roster includes prominent figures like Jeff and Matt Hardy, TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian, and other notable talents.
In a strategic move, TNA Wrestling formed a multi-year partnership with WWE, allowing cross-promotion between their respective programming. TNA stars such as Nic Nemeth and Matt Cardona have made appearances on WWE shows, while talents like Leon Slater and Xia Brookside have participated in WWE/NXT events.
“We are super excited to bring the in-ring excitement, energy and drama of TNA Wrestling to AMC,” stated TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva. “We cannot wait to expand the TNA audience with our new partner, AMC Networks, which has such a long and storied history of serving passionate and engaged fans across so many shows and franchises.”
Dan McDermott, Chief Content Officer of AMC Networks and President of AMC Studios, praised TNA for its “impressive growth and success,” emphasizing that this is driven by the compelling stories, characters, and non-stop action that fans have come to love.
