AMC Networks International Restructures Divisions in Southern Europe and Latin America
AMC Networks International (AMCNI) announced a significant merger of its Southern Europe and Latin America divisions, with Antonio Ruiz appointed to lead the newly unified structure. As part of this organizational change, John Huff, the current Managing Director of AMCNI – Latin America, will depart the company after a transition period.
Under the new arrangement, Ruiz, who has served as Managing Director for Southern Europe, will oversee the consolidated operations alongside his senior team based in Europe. This strategic restructuring aims to enhance collaboration between regions sharing cultural ties while capitalizing on combined expertise.
Eduardo Zulueta, President of AMC Networks International, emphasized the benefits of this leadership consolidation. “This single leadership structure will enable us to deepen collaboration across markets with shared cultural ties, leverage our collective expertise, and ultimately, be stronger together,” he stated.
Zulueta further noted Ruiz’s expanded responsibilities, highlighting his proven leadership and operational experience as instrumental in the company’s ongoing success. “His leadership will help ensure we continue to deliver globally acclaimed series and locally produced originals that resonate with audiences across both regions,” he added.
As the transition unfolds, Zulueta expressed gratitude toward Huff for his leadership, dedication, and meaningful contributions to the company. He acknowledged Huff’s pivotal role in establishing the strong foundation AMCNI enjoys today.
