Amber Alert: 3-Year-Old Messiah Evans Missing in South LA
Amber Alert Issued for 3-Year-Old Messiah Evans in Southern California
Authorities have activated an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Messiah Evans, who was reported abducted late Monday night in South Los Angeles. The alert spans five counties, intensifying the search efforts for both the child and the suspect, 38-year-old Joshua Pendleton.
Messiah was last seen at approximately 10:20 p.m. near the intersection of 66th Street and Normandie Avenue. Police believe Pendleton, who is the ex-boyfriend of Messiah’s mother but not his biological father, took the child during a violent altercation. The suspect reportedly fled in a white 2006 Saturn VUE belonging to his ex-girlfriend, with the child inside.
The vehicle is identified by California license plate number 5SHE918. Pendleton is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 265 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. Messiah is approximately 3 feet tall and weighs 50 pounds; he was last seen wearing a burgundy onesie.
The California Highway Patrol is collaborating with the Los Angeles Police Department as they conduct searches across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. Authorities are urging anyone who spots the vehicle or the individuals involved to call 911 immediately, advising against approaching them directly.
As the search continues, law enforcement officials remain hopeful for a swift and safe resolution to this urgent situation.
