Amazon Live FAST Channel Launches on Samsung TV Plus with Exciting Shopping Features and Content
Amazon Live, the shopping-oriented FAST channel, is set to join the roster of Samsung TV Plus, a prominent free streaming platform.
With over 100 million monthly active users, Samsung TV Plus capitalizes on the popularity of Samsung’s smart TVs, which hold a leading market share in North America among various manufacturers.
Content featured on Amazon Live includes live broadcasts featuring celebrities, creators, and hosts, alongside coverage of major cultural events. The channel also offers original series such as In Bed with Paige DeSorbo, Pick Your Prize, and Shopping Court, as well as deal segments that align with Amazon shopping events and everyday deals, complemented by licensed lifestyle programming that corresponds to Amazon’s primary shopping categories.
A unique aspect of the Amazon Live experience is the “Shop the Show” mobile companion feature. Viewers can scan an on-screen QR code to access a synchronized shoppable experience via the Amazon Shopping app, allowing them to browse and purchase items highlighted during broadcasts in real time. Additionally, they can engage in live chats during broadcasts without disrupting the viewing experience on Samsung TV Plus.

As subscription streaming services implement price increases, many viewers are turning to free platforms, accepting ads as a trade-off for avoiding high subscriber fees. This trend is mirrored in subscription models, with Netflix’s recent price hikes underscoring the shift towards advertising.
The partnership between Samsung and Amazon exemplifies the evolving nature of the streaming industry. Recently, Amazon established agreements allowing its demand-side platform (DSP) to be used by competitors such as Roku. At CES in January, Amazon announced plans to introduce 50 new streaming outlets on its Fire TV platform through a collaboration with the Roku Channel.

He emphasized that this launch strengthens Samsung TV Plus’s content-to-commerce strategy, making it easy for audiences to discover and purchase products as they appear on their smart TVs.
Wayne Purboo, Vice President of Amazon Shopping Videos, underscored that Amazon Live aims to meet customers during moments of inspiration, offering seamless shopping experiences. He noted that the channel delivers “live entertainment, trusted creators, and effortless Amazon shopping to the biggest screen in the home.”
