Allison Hammond to Host Podcast for Season 4 of Bridgerton After Her Time on the Great British Bake-Off
Netflix Expands Crossover Concepts with New Podcast and Season Premiere for Bridgerton
In a bid to enhance its content offerings, Netflix has enlisted Great British Bake-Off co-host Allison Hammond to host the fourth season of Bridgerton: The Official Podcast. This collaboration is part of an effort to merge popular franchises under the Netflix umbrella, facilitated by Shondaland Audio and iHeart Podcasts.
This new podcast marks a significant milestone, as it will be the first to be available for viewing on Netflix in the United States and on YouTube worldwide. The six-episode series will also be accessible on major audio platforms including Apple and Spotify.
In conjunction with the podcast announcement, Netflix confirmed that the red carpet premiere for Bridgerton Season 4 will occur in Paris, France, a first for the series. Viewers who participate in the livestream will have the exclusive opportunity to screen the season’s first episode. The first part of Season 4 is set to premiere on January 29, with the remaining four episodes released on February 26.
Season 4 will center on the romance between Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, and Sophie Baek, portrayed by Yerin Ha. This follows the narrative of Season 3, which highlighted the evolving relationship between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.
Returning cast members include Ruth Gemmel as Lady Violet Bridgerton, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton, and Victor Alli as John Stirling. New additions to the cast feature Katie Leung as Araminta Gun.
Furthermore, Netflix has partnered with various brands for promotional products linked to the upcoming season, including collaborations with Dove, Pandora, COTY fragrances, NYX makeup, and Liberty fabrics, alongside additional teatime supplies available at Walmart.
