Netflix Expands Cast for Upcoming Thriller Series Rabbit, Rabbit
Netflix’s highly anticipated hostage thriller series Rabbit, Rabbit has solidified its cast with the addition of 24 actors in recurring roles. Notable names include Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Brian d’Arcy James (Spotlight), Spencer Reed Tomich (The Prom), and Susanna Flood (Liberation). They will join stars Adam Driver and Regina Hall, along with Ada Bland (Capsized), Alex Morf (Mindhunter), Annie Golden (Orange is the New Black), April Matthis (Not Suitable for Work), Ashlyn Maddox (The Four Seasons), and a host of others.
Production for Rabbit, Rabbit is currently underway in New Jersey, under the guidance of creator and showrunner Peter Craig, alongside director Philip Barantini and MRC.
The series follows escaped convict J-Will, played by Driver, who, cornered by law enforcement at a truck stop, takes hostages to negotiate for his freedom. The standoff quickly escalates into a complex social experiment involving the captives and an emotional tug-of-war with a veteran FBI Crisis Negotiator, portrayed by Hall, who is skilled in "tactical empathy."
Driver not only stars but also serves as an executive producer alongside Craig and Barantini. Samantha Beddoe and Bryan Unkeless are also on board as executive producers, contributing their respective production companies to the project. The series is a product of the first-look deal between MRC and Craig’s Night Owl Stories.
Rabbit, Rabbit is part of a growing slate of Netflix productions filmed in New Jersey, which includes titles such as Happy Gilmore 2, The Rip, and A House of Dynamite, as well as upcoming films like Office Romance, The Whisper Man, and 72 Hours.
The diverse cast features talent represented by various agencies, with James repped by Gersh and Thruline Entertainment, Vartholomeos by Paradigm and Anonymous Content, Maddox by Paradigm and SAKS, and Birney by Paradigm and Suskin/Karshan Management.
