Adrian Grenier Shares Why Nate Might Not Return in ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Due to Character Backlash
Adrian Grenier, who portrayed Nate, the chef boyfriend of Andy Sachs in the 2006 film *The Devil Wears Prada*, has revealed he will not be returning for the highly anticipated sequel, *The Devil Wears Prada 2*.
In a recent conversation with Page Six, Grenier expressed disappointment over not being invited back. “We’re all fans of the movie, whether or not we’re in it,” he explained. “Obviously, it was a disappointment that I didn’t get the call to be in the sequel, but I also understand there’s some backlash with Nate, the character, so that might have something to do with it. But I think that just leaves room for a spinoff.”
Over the years, viewers have criticized Nate’s behavior in the original film, pointing to his perceived selfishness regarding Andy’s career choices. Their relationship experienced significant strain, leaving their status unresolved by the film’s end.
