Banuelos is the son of Ascencion Banuelos, the first Mexican-American inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame.
Prior to the breakup, Hadid praised Banuelos’ accomplishments in horse riding during a May interview with British Vogue. She described him as “the youngest Mexican cowboy to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame,” noting his dedication to his family and customers.
A source confirmed to PEOPLE earlier this month that Hadid and Banuelos had ended their relationship. The couple, who began dating in October 2023, had recently attended an event for Hadid’s fragrance brand, Orebella.
