Adam Schweitzer Joins WME as Senior Partner in New York
Adam Schweitzer has been appointed as a senior partner in the talent department at WME, based in New York. Prior to this new role, Schweitzer served as a senior talent agent at CAA for three years, where he represented several award-winning clients.
Before his tenure at CAA, Schweitzer held the position of Managing Director and Board Member at ICM Partners, overseeing the talent and branding divisions. He began his career at ICM in 2000 as an assistant and steadily advanced within the agency, eventually becoming a founding partner during its 2012 management buyout.
“WME has built an incredible culture alongside a business that encourages collaboration and is best suited to support talent in today’s market,” Schweitzer stated. “I’m looking forward to this next chapter, both for myself and my clients.”
Clients making the transition with Schweitzer to WME include Academy Award winners such as Cillian Murphy and Christoph Waltz, as well as Golden Globe nominees Rebecca Ferguson and Cooper Hoffman. Other notable names include Hong Chau, Sir Patrick Stewart, BAFTA winners Tom Hollander and Paddy Considine, along with Emmy Award winner Hank Azaria and Tony Award winner Nina Arianda.
WME co-chairman Richard Weitz expressed his enthusiasm for Schweitzer’s addition: “Adam brings with him a wealth of experience and is a great match for WME, in addition to being an incredible agent – his work and clients speak for themselves. We are thrilled to welcome him and excited to hit the ground running this year.”
